hello world :) as i'm sure you already know, i'm cat and this is my first blog post. i've spent today on and off coding, watching videos, and smoking up outside. i woke up this morning from a dream about getting in a fight with a militia in which i threw a flash grenade and it bounced back toward me and blinded me. i've been playing a lot of fallout 4 and new vegas lately. i need to get back in the habit of getting up to make coffee again, because i've been staying in bed way too late.
today i watched a video about lena dunham, since i remembered her name coming up a lot when i was still using twitter, and she does seem like a pretty self-centered person from what i saw, not to mention the darker stuff discussed. after i watched that video i spent a while coding. lately my girlfriend and i have been talking a lot about improving at coding and 3d modeling, since we want to make games together. we have a set of really great ideas right now, but i'm sure it'll be a few years until we're able to fully realize it. we've been watching a shit ton of videos on computer science as well as more specific stuff like godot and unity tutorials. the worst part has definitely been the math, because i've always had difficulty with it, but it seems not to go beyond algebra for the most part, so that's a plus. i've been drawing a lot of concept art for both the game we're brainstorming about and the world i'm currently building.
i've been having a lot of fun filling out forms i created, though for now i only have forms for characters and schools. i really want to make comics and animations in this world, so my plan for the next time i'm able to use blender is to make the first character i've drawn, and frankly the one i draw the most, as a low poly fully textured and rigged character. the main cast is four furries, a dog, cat, horse, and bunny, who all live together, each with their own rich personal history going back to their grandparents. i also managed to turn a slice of life furry world into its own alternate history, starting at an undetermined time, but so far discrepancies go back to at least the 1600s. pain. all i wanted to do was capture the nostalgic atmosphere of what i remember from the mid-2000s without all the horrible, awful things that were happening. most of this stuff will likely never see the light of day in my comics or cartoons, but i really enjoy writing it and imagining the world more fully. my current goal is to traumatize my characters more. they started listening to nu metal in middle school, so i can't exactly not do that. the main four are essentially myself split into four characters, though they all have very different personal histories than me. i project onto them moreso in the interests and taste category. i like a wide variety of fashion, which i plan on expressing through my world. i already have a pretty large cast of characters, so much that i had to write a birthdate calendar just to keep track of them.
i'm going to go take a shower and listen to some music, but when i come back, i plan on adding an interests page, and maybe even individual interest pages to keep track of what i talk about in my posts. either way, expect a small expansion soon, and hopefully another entry tomorrow!
